We are now looking for you who want to work as a kitchen assistant in school kitchens. It is an important and varied job where you contribute to ensuring everything runs smoothly in the kitchen every day.

As a kitchen assistant, you help the chef with preparations and simple cooking tasks, such as salads, sandwiches, and keeping food warm. You receive deliveries, keep the kitchen organized, and ensure that hygiene routines are followed.

You work independently but always in close collaboration with the chef and colleagues. This is a job for you who enjoy pace, service, and creating a pleasant dining environment for both children and staff.

Pamoja is the largest provider of school substitutes in Sweden. We have agreements with many schools and offer a wide variety of exciting assignments.

How the job works

You often work on short notice (same morning). You can work a lot or a little, often or rarely. We will agree on which specific tasks you will handle when you are employed. You are then always personally matched to your assignments (based on your preferences and skills).

You manage the job easily through our smart app. Additionally, you always have a personal contact with our support team who assists you when needed – before, during, and after the shift. You work securely with a collective agreement. Of course, you receive a proper introduction to the job before you start.

What do you need to know?

• You must have completed upper secondary education and training in food hygiene.
• You need at least 6 months of experience working in a school restaurant or large kitchen, involving preparation and serving. You must also be ready to take responsibility and initiative and be willing to collaborate with others.
• You have great freedom to change your schedule – but you must be prepared to work as you commit.
• You need to be able to work at least 2 days a week (Are you a student? Then you need to be able to work at least 1 day/week).
• You should want to be a good role model for everyone you meet at work!
